Beatrice Sartori

Beatrice Sartori is a Swiss-based contemporary paper artist of Spanish-Italian-Swiss origin. Entirely self-taught, she has developed a distinctive technique of hand-cut collage defined by precision, vibrant color, and layered texture. Drawing inspiration from everyday elements—shapes, shadows, and natural forms—her work explores themes of joy, harmony, and environmental consciousness, often using 100% recycled paper. Internationally exhibited and featured in art publications, Sartori was named Switzerland’s Artist Ambassador for the 2025 Art Connects Women exhibition under UNESCO patronage. She is also an author of children’s books and poetry, bringing the same sensitivity and imagination to her writing as to her visual art.

My work is driven by spontaneous inspiration drawn from everyday surroundings—shapes, shadows, reflections. Using simple tools—scissors, tweezers, glue, and richly textured papers—I meticulously cut and assemble each element into layered collages, some with up to eight overlapping parts. My style is precise, modern, and colorful, rooted in a unique technique that reflects themes of joy, harmony, and environmental consciousness. I prioritize recycled materials, reinforcing my commitment to sustainability and a deep respect for nature.
